Viewer Reviews This is one of the most underrated movies of all time. The Postman is not just your average post-apocalyptic scenario. It is a deeply emotional and philosophical film about the power of hope. What I love about this movie is that it shows how something very simple-- mail-- can become a symbol for everything that makes us human and for everything that makes us American. Yes, its a little long, and yes, the ending requires a slight suspension of disbelief. But the movie is good enough that you wont notice the length, and moving enough that disbelief hardly even enters the mind. I love this film, and recommend it highly.
