The story revolves around the Copacabana Club, an exclusive New York nightspot. Groucho Marx and Carmen Miranda, an acting team, in love but too poor to marry, are attempting to have their act booked at the Copacabana, with little success. Groucho decides to pose as Carmen's agent, calling her the Brazilian Bombshell. Carmen wows them with her famous "Tico Tico" number. When asked about other clients, Groucho comes up with the name Mademoiselle Fifi, but is stumped wnen requested to produce her. He solves the dilemma by disguising Carmen and bringing her to the club where she is hired again. As Carmen tries to keep up her double role, Groucho thrives on the complications and the audience has the laugh on everyone. Produced by Sam Coslow, Directed by Alfred E.
