Plot:
Writer Dan Gillis lives in Paris (great so far, but there's more!!)
He lives with his son, and is divorced from his wife. He is hired to write a script based on a quote from Peter Pan, it's all very bizarre, bit even more bizarre is the director, and young Brit. The director has made an obscure short with his sister starring, and is therefore hired. Dan has to deal with writing the script, caught between the artistic eccentricities of the director, and the moneymaking producer. He is soon pulled into a strange world.
This is just one of those engaging, thrilling "foreign" films!
I use the term "Foreign" loosely, but certainly as a compliment! It has nothing to do with American commercialistic mainstream films; it's a great story, told in a engaging and real way! Although the quality of video is appalling, it's all we have! It's too bad films like this never get proper recognition! This deservers an Oscar!
I've never seen such and engaging film!
Jeff Goldblum is wonderful, as is Daniel Ceccaldi! If you're sick of Hollywood, and love films like Alice (1990) and Another Woman (1988) and other psychological films, see this! I dare you!
